The Human Nervous System

The Human Nervous System is classified dependent on the location and function of the nervous tissue. In Human Anatomy, the central nervous system is composed of the brain and the spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system is part of the human nervous system, it is the neural tissue which is not part of the central nervous system and spinal cord. The functioning of the central nervous system and its complexity becomes apparent in human anatomy when studying the anatomical regions of the brain and their subsequent relations in the brain. The peripheral nervous system is less complex, but non the less very important in human anatomy and physiology - for example the control of skeletal muscle in locomotion.
